NEW PRINCIPAL FOR ST. PETER’S SCHOOL 2017
We start by farewelling our current principal Mr. Michael McGrath who will retire at the end of this year. Our sincere thanks to Mr. McGrath for his dedicated service to our school and parish community. We wish him a joyful retirement and all God's Blessings for good health and happiness in the future.

Over the coming weeks we will go through the process of drawing up a set of criteria that our parish and school community expects of our new school principal. We seek your prayerful support for the selection committee who will assist Fr. Pius in this process. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide Fr. Pius and the committee in the process of selecting the new principal and that by the Grace of God we will be given a person dear to the heart of Jesus who will serve our school and parish community in the light of Christ.

POPE’S INTENTIONS FOR JUNE
Universal: That the aged, marginalized, and those who have no one may find – even within the huge cities of the world – opportunities for encounter and solidarity.
Evangelization: That seminarians and men and women entering religious life may have mentors who live the joy of the Gospel and prepare them wisely for their mission.

11th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
“When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet…”    LUKE 7:44
Today’s Gospel calls us to consider how we serve God. Do we consume like the Pharisee who simply reclines at the table and expects to be served? Or, do we contribute like the woman who kneels before Jesus and washes His feet? Every day we must make a choice. Take or give? Consume or contribute? Recline or serve?

RECENTLY DECEASED

DEATH ANNIVERSARIES
We pray for Noel Rego, Derek Balfour, Paul Cachia, Joseph Pace, John Grech, James Keating, and all whose anniversaries occur at this time.

PRAYERS FOR THE SICK
We pray for Frank Johnson, Peter McGlade, Molly Wilson, Gary Spotswood, Stan Walkden, Sean Donaldson, Aiden Catherall, Bienvenido Are, Vera Fernandez, Vic Pagunsan, Edith Street, Georgette Maalouf, Carmen Mifsud, Carmen Agius, Alyne White, Kevin Golding, Peg McNamara, Alex Coelho, Elizabeth Slee, Bob Meehan, Glenna Pereira, Shirley Marx, Pedro & Dante Lopez, Crispin & Nick Garcia, Bernie Poppen, Giancarlo D’Anrea, Flora Hermit, Edith Platel, Hyacinth Lawrence, Lucy Zanatta, Lynne Worsley, Dorothy Prathapasinghe, Maria Failla, Trevor Rush and all who are ill in our Parish.
