CHURCH REFURBISHMENT
As advised last week, church refurbishment has commenced and is scheduled to finish third week of May 2018.

During construction, all weekday masses will be held at the Community Centre and weekend masses in the Church. As works relate to both the front entrances of the church, these will be closed and unavailable for use during the construction period.

Entrance to the church will be through the rear of the church (basketball court) and the entrance near the school office which is currently not used. Adequate parking for the elderly and disabled will be available in the basketball court.

Thank you for your cooperation.

BAPTISM CANDLES/BIBS/STOLES
With the closure of the Piety Store until about May due to church renovations, parents wanting to purchase candles/bibs/stoles for the baptism of their infants can do so after the 8:30am Mass on Sundays. Please contact Bev Jones on 9749 2388 to let her know what you require prior to Sunday. You can also purchase the items after the Baptism Formation Meeting held on the 1st Monday of March, April and May. This will continue until the Piety Store reopens in May.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY, 8 MARCH 18
The theme for this year’s Women’s Day is “Time is Now: Rural and urban activists transforming women’s lives”. It draws attention to the rights and activism of rural women, who make up over a quarter of the world population and majority of the 43% of women in the global agricultural labour force.

CHILDREN ENGAGING IN THE GOSPEL
Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be starting again for the year on Sunday 4th March at the 10:30am Mass. Children are given the opportunity to come together to engage in the gospel of the Sunday at their level. We are currently in need of more helpers to assist in the running of Children’s Liturgy. No experience required and all material will be provided. You will need to have a current Working With Children’s Check. Commitment is only 6-7 sessions a year.
