WELCOME TO OUR NEWLY BAPTISED
We welcome into our Church community Mikayla Lobo who is to be baptised this weekend. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of Parents, Godparents, family and friends, we pray that this child will lead a life full of happiness, faith and love.

HEALING MASS THURSDAY 12th SEPTEMBER
All are invited to come for a healing service at our church on Thursday 12th September from 6.30 to 9 pm by Fr Rojan from Vincentian Retreat Centre. There will be Rosary, Praise and Worship, Mass and Adoration. All are welcome.

ROSTERS for Communion to the Sick, Piety Store, Lectors & Communion Ministers for Sept to Nov are now available for collection from the Hall.

BAPTISM FORMATION MEETING FOR SEPTEMBER – MONDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER, 7:00PM
Kindly note that due to the Novena for the Nativity of Our Lady, the Baptism Formation meeting will be held in the Community Centre on Monday, 2nd September at 7pm.

FATHER’S DAY – SUNDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER
Father Vincent will give a special Blessing to Fathers at all Masses next weekend.

THANKSGIVING UPDATE 2019
Please note that the Finance Committee will be providing a Thanksgiving Update to the Parish at all masses this weekend of 24/25 August 2019. A Time & Talent Sheet will be available in the pews, kindly fill in the same if you would like to volunteer in any of our parish ministries and return them in the collection during mass or to Fr Vincent or Dcn Charles or mail to the Parish Office (Attn: Anita Dsouza) or email to hopperscrossing@cam.org.au

JOSEPH'S CORNER STALL
Sr Jean wishes to say a very big "THANK YOU" to all who supported the stall last weekend, either in purchasing goods, or in continuing donations. To the sewers and knitters who helped stock our stall, our sincere gratitude. And mostly to Fr. Vincent, for giving us the time to hold our Stall annually. We raised just over $1,500. A great effort!! Thank you St. Peters.

ANNUAL MASS OF ALL NATIONS
On Sunday 25 August, Archbishop Peter Comensoli will be celebrating the Annual Mass of All Nations at St Patrick's Cathedral with 2 pm Rosary and 3 pm Mass.

RETREAT FOR MEN
A retreat for men (18+) will be run by the Vocations Office from September 13-15 at Pallotti College in Millgrove. The retreat will include times for silence, opportunities for Spiritual Direction, Reconciliation, Adoration, Mass and talks on faith. ORDINATIONS TO THE PRIESTHOOD
On Saturday September 7 at 10am at St Patrick's Cathedral, Archbishop Peter will ordain four new priests for service in Melbourne.  Please pray for Deacons Andrew Choi, Nathan Rawlins, Michael Buck and Trac Nguyen as they prepare for ordination.  All are welcome to the ordination Mass at the cathedral to pray for these men and to rejoice in the gift of four new priests for Melbourne.  On this day also the Archbishop will ordain three deacons in preparation for priestly ordination at a later date.

MULTICULTURAL MASS
The next Multicultural Mass planning meeting will be held on Saturday, 31st August at 10:00am in the meeting room off the church hall. All are welcome to attend.

CATHOLIC MAN BREAKFAST SERIES
The next Catholic Man Breakfast Series takes place on Friday the 20th September  2019 and features Fr Leo Patalinhug. Fr Leo is being hosted to Australia by several Archdioceses, including The Archdiocese of Melbourne. He has a high profile as a chef, TV host and martial arts exponent which are tools in his real trade of 'evangelizing'. Cost is $50 with group discounts available. The time is strictly 7 to 9 am. There is a new venue being the Athenaeum Club, 87 Collins St, Melbourne (not the Athenaeum Theatre). His talk will be "be a man and feed your family". Enq: michael.bohan@menalive.org.au The Catholic Man Breakfast Series is an opportunity for men to gather and be encouraged and inspired in their faith.
