MEMORIAL MASS FOR DECEASED – TUESDAY 13th NOVEMBER, 7:00PM, FOLLOWED BY SUPPER
All Parishioners who have lost a loved one are invited to attend this special Memorial Mass for the Deceased. You are welcome to bring a photo of the Deceased and place it on the table at the front of the Church. Could you kindly bring a plate of sweet/savoury finger food to share after Mass. Thank you.
You are welcome to write down departed ones names in the Memorial Book which is kept near the Sanctuary. The book will be taken to the altar during the Offertory to remember and pray at all the Masses in November.
KNIGHTS OF THE SOUTHERN – DECEASED MEMBERS MASS
Will be held on Wednesday, 14h of November at 7:00pm at St. Peter’s, Hoppers Crossing. Members are asked to assemble at 6:45pm prior to Mass. Widows, relatives and parishioners are invited to be at this Mass and to stay for refreshments afterwards.
To enable us to make up hampers to take to families in need this Christmas, please take a tag from the Tree and return the item/s to the baskets under the Tree by December 9th. A Christmas card with your gift of food lets a family know that you are thinking of them at this joyous Season. Last year we were able to help close to 100 families in our area. Enquiries 9749 2388.
YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS – CHRISTMAS CAROLS NIGHT
For the first time, our Youth and Young Adults are hosting a Carols night! Starting at 7:00pm on Saturday 1st December in the hall. As we'd love our youth to lead the carols, any youth who would like to perform/lead a Christmas carol (solo or groups), please contact Rhea on 0419 046 809. Please come along and support our Youth and Young Adults and get into the spirit of Christmas by joining in our Christmas Carols Night. There will be singing, music BBQ, snacks etc. All are welcome. COLLOQUIUM ON BUILDING A THEOLOGY OF COMMUNION
Thursday, 22 November, 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The colloquium draws on the national resource on lay pastoral ministry, Faithful Stewards of God’s Grace, which affirms and celebrates the common vocation of the lay faithful—grounded in the Sacrament of Baptism—to participate in the ministry of Christ.The evening will include input from various tertiary directors and leaders of centres of spirituality who will offer ways in which the vocation of the lay faithful may be realized and supported in our Archdiocese.
