WELCOME TO OUR NEWLY BAPTISED
We welcome into our Church community Madeline Noveloso, Nadia Kirsten Ong and Laura Dane Ong who are to be baptised this Sunday. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of Parents, Godparents, family and friends, we pray that these children will lead lives full of happiness, faith and love.

YOUTH MASS
Please note that from February 2019, the 5:00pm Mass on the 3rd Sunday of each month will be a Youth Mass, and they will supply all the Ministries for the Mass.

Young Adults ministry thanks everyone who came to the movie night last Monday. Thanks for your continued support. We collected $250 towards the expenses of our ongoing activities. THANK YOU.

MOTHER OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR NOVENA
From next Wednesday (February 6) the Mother of Perpetual Succour Novena is being renewed in a new format made popular by the Redemptorist Fathers who have been the propagators of the devotion of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. The Novena will start at the same time of 7:30pm after mass and will include Eucharistic Adoration as well as scripture reading and a brief reflection. Come and join us for the Novena which has been known to carry a message of hope and assurance of help to all those who appeal to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour.

SACRAMENTAL & RELIGIOUS EDUCATION SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAMME
Enrolments this Sunday 3rd Feb 19 between 9:20am and 11:00am. You will find us if you follow the arrows on the brick walls of the School. If your children attend a non-Catholic School and you wish for them to prepare to receive Sacraments or general instruction, come and see us. Classes start on Sunday 10th Feb from 9:15am to 10:25am. Please bring a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate. Enquiries to Bernice on 9749 2812.

REST IN PEACE
We pray for the souls of Rita Dubowik who was a teacher at our school for 38 years and our parishioner Stan Walkden who passed away last week. May their souls rest in peace. We offer their families our sincere condolences. Stan Walkden’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, 5th February at 10:30am in our church.

POPE FRANCIS has declared 8th February to be the WORLD DAY OF PRAYER REFLECTION AND ACTION AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING FOR THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH. He chose this day because it is the feast day of St Josephine Bakhita, patron saint of Sudan and of Trafficked People. A vigil Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Peter A. Comensoli at 7:30pm on Thursday 7th February 2019 in St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

CROSSROADS AUSTRALIA PRO-LIFE WALKERS
Walkers from Crossroads Australia who walk from Brisbane to Melbourne annually giving witness to the dignity and sanctity of life at all stages will speak at our parish at all Masses this weekend.

RECENTLY DECEASED
We pray for Rita Dubowik, Stan Walkden, Bruce Blake, Poobal Rajan, Mario Zarra, Adam Vanderfeen and all who have passed away recently.

DEATH ANNIVERSARIES
We pray for Kevin Waters, Margaret Alice Jones, Emeterio Cahoy Sr., Fr. Alej Plaza Jr. svd, Charles Francisco, Mike Louise, Ivan Tims and all whose anniversaries occur at this time.
