23/24 Feb Visit by Regional Bishop Mark Edwards who will celebrate all weekend Masses.

 

CAR PARK REFURBISHMENT

Beth Walkden and her family have thanked all at our parish for the support received and the beautiful Mass and prayers at Stan’s funeral last Tuesday.

HEALING MASS, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH
All are invited to come and experience Jesus' Healing Touch for the body, mind and soul at a Special Healing Mass at our church on Wednesday, 27th February, 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Healing, Adoration and Preaching by Fr. Jilto George, CMI.

YOUTH MASS
Please note our next Youth Mass will be celebrated at 5:00pm on Sunday February 17, 2019. All the Youth of our parish are encouraged to attend. The Youth of our parish will be assisting in all ministries and Fr. Vincent will give a special blessing to all the youth present. Fellowship after mass. Please bring a plate of sweet or savouries to share.

MOTHER OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR NOVENA
Every Wednesday at 7.30 pm (after 7 pm mass) consisting of traditional prayers, scripture reading, brief homily, Eucharistic Adoration and some of our favourite hymns. Come and join us for the Novena which has been known to carry a message of hope and assurance of help to all those who appeal to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. SACRAMENTAL & RELIGIOUS EDUCATION SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAMME
If your children attend a non-Catholic School and you wish for them to prepare to receive Sacraments or general instruction, come and see us. Classes start this Sunday 10th Feb from 9:15am to 10:25am. Please bring a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate. Enquiries to Bernice on 9749 2812.

FUNDRAISER – SCULPTURED BALLOONS
There will be a sculptured balloon sale fundraiser on Sunday, 10 February 2019 after the 10:30am mass. Prices start from $1.00 upwards. ALL proceeds from the sale of the balloons will go towards the Church fund. We appreciate your kind support.

VISIT BY BISHOP MARK EDWARDS
Our Regional Bishop Mark Edwards will visit our parish on the weekend of 23rd/24th February 2019. Bishop Mark will celebrate all Masses that weekend and will meet parishioners after each Mass, with a special meeting with our Parish Youth and Young Adults after the 5:00pm Mass on Sunday, 24th February. In addition to the above visit, Bishop Mark will meet with various parish committees and visit our sick parishioners on Monday 18th February. On Wednesday 20th February, Bishop Mark will visit our School and meet with the Leadership Team.  Please offer our usual St. Peter’s hospitality and friendship to Bishop Mark. We request you to kindly bring a plate to share in the fellowship after the 10:30am Mass on Sunday, 24th February. Thank you.

LENTEN RETREAT
Our parish will be having a Lenten retreat this year on March 14,21,28 and April 4 from 7 to 8 pm conducted by Deacon Royden Dsouza. These will consist of teachings, short films, hymns on key parables from the Gospel’s to increase our faith and build a stronger relationship with Jesus during this Lenten Period. Look out for further details as we approach Ash Wednesday.
