Government School Ministry (Sunday School)

Sunday School at St Peters Parish provides Catholic religious education for children who are enroled in the public schooling system. Its aims are to prepare children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation in the Catholic Church, and to provide ongoing bible instruction and faith formation.

Classes are open to children from grades 1 to 6 in primary school and grades 7 onwards in secondary school.

The following timeline is used to coordinate the celebration of the Sacraments with children of similar ages St Peters Primary School.
  • Grade 3: Reconciliation (Confession or Penance).
  • Grade 4: Holy Communion.
  • Grade 6: Confirmation.
Sunday School takes place every Sunday morning from 9:00am to 10:15 am in the school rooms behind St Peters Parish Church. Fees are $50.00 per family per year, and extra fees are due in the sacramental years.
