PARISH OFFICE CLOSURE
Please note that as it is a public holiday, the Parish Office will be closed on Cup Day, Tuesday, 5th November.

MULTICULTURAL MASS THANK YOU
Fr. Vincent, Dcn. Charles and parishioners thank the Indian Community for hosting such a spirit filled and joyful Multicultural Mass on Sunday, 27th October. Heartfelt thanks to the concelebrating priests - Fr Barry Tobin, Fr Joselito Asis, Fr Jose Gutierrez, Fr Miyurin Korera and Fr Kenny Macharaga, the Multicultural Mass Committee members, Liturgy Team, Altar Servers, Choir, Flag Bearers, Lectors, Cantors, Special Ministers and all the volunteers for their hard work and contribution in making the celebration special. It is a great joy when we come together as one Body of Christ and celebrate our unity in diversity. Special thanks also to all the families who prepared and provided the delicious food for everyone to enjoy. Our sincere thanks to all the volunteers who helped in setting up, serving food and cleaning up.

EXTRAORDINARY MISSIONARY MONTH OF OCTOBER
Fr. Vincent would like to thank parishioners for their generosity in contributing to St. Mary’s House of Welcome as part of the Extraordinary Missionary Month of October. A total of $1609.30 was collected.

WELCOME TO OUR NEWLY BAPTISED
We welcome into our Church community Amanda Realo who is to be baptised this weekend. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of Parents, Godparents, family and friends, we pray that Amanda will lead a life full of happiness, faith and love.

HEALING MASS
The next healing mass will be held on Saturday 9th November from 1:30pm to 4:30pm by Fr. Jilto George CMI with mass, preaching and Eucharistic adoration. All are welcome.

AVAILABILITY FORMS CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR
Would all Readers and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who have not yet returned their Availability forms which are attached to the current roster, please return them no later than November 6th. We would also appreciate if we could have some Volunteers for the 10:30am Mass on Christmas Day.

BAPTISM FORMATION MEETING on Monday, 4th November at 7:00pm in church.

PRAYERS FOR THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED IN NOVEMBER - PLENARY INDULGENCE
The Memorial Book will be kept near the Sanctuary. All are welcome to write down the names of their departed loved ones in the book. The book will be taken to the Altar during the Offertory to remember and pray for the faithful departed at all the Masses during November. A Plenary Indulgence may be granted for the dead by visiting a Church on All Souls Day, 2nd November and reciting an Our Father and the Creed. Three conditions are required for gaining the Indulgence – Confession, Holy Communion and praying for the Pope's intentions.

KNIGHTS OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS – DECEASED MEMBERS MASS
Will be held on Wednesday 13h November, at 7:00pm at St Peters Parish, Hoppers Crossing.  Members are asked to assemble at 6:45pm prior to Mass. Widows, relatives and parishioners are invited to be at this Mass and to stay for refreshments afterwards.

MEMORIAL MASS FOR DECEASED – 7:00PM, FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER, FOLLOWED BY SUPPER
All Parishioners who have lost a loved one are invited to attend this special Memorial Mass for the Deceased. You are welcome to bring a photo of the Deceased and place it on the table at the front of the Church. Could you kindly bring a plate of sweet/savoury finger food to share after Mass. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS’ THANKSGIVING MASS
Thank you to all our Parish Volunteers who give of their time, talents and gifts to serve our parish. Fr Vincent and Deacon Charles would like to invite all the volunteers in the parish to a special Thanksgiving Mass on Friday, 22nd November at 7:00pm followed by fellowship. The mass will be offered for the personal intentions of all our volunteers and a special blessing will be given.

ASSIST A STUDENT (AAS)
St. Vincent de Paul is informing parishioners of their AAS Program which assists students in very poor circumstances in countries to our north, to get to school. As we know, education is the key to helping people get out of the poverty cycle. $70 will assist one student for a year. On the weekend of 9/10 November, a display and donation container will be set up in the hall for any immediate contributions, however if you are interested in being a part of this program, please check the mini display which will be set up in the hall and take home a pamphlet.

MEN’S BREAKFAST
St James Men’s Ministry will host a Men’s Breakfast in the Paulist Centre at St James Parish from 8:00am – 11:00am on Saturday 16 November. Our guest speaker, Rev Royden D’Souza, will present a talk on Christian Leadership. He will address the 5 Cs: Character, Connection, Community, Commitment and Commission. He will help us to appreciate that we can all be effective leaders. Please register your intention to attend to Peter O’Toole 0410 330 864. We look forward to seeing you there; you won’t be disappointed. All men welcome. A donation of $7 would be appreciated to cover costs.

INTRODUCING THE NEW PRINCIPAL AT THOMAS CARR COLLEGE
St. Peter's Parish community welcomes Mr. Craig Holmes, the new Principal at Thomas Carr Regional College and we offer our best wishes on your new appointment. Mr. Craig Holmes will speak to parishioners at the 10:30am mass on Sunday 10th November.
