FEAST OF ST. MARY OF THE CROSS McKILLOP
There will be three Masses at 8:30am, 10:00am (School Mass) and 7:00pm on Wednesday 8th August, to celebrate the feast of St. Mary of the Cross McKillop.
FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY will be celebrated on Wednesday 15th August with three Masses at 8:30am, 10:00am (School Mass) and 7:00pm. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Holy Days of Obligation for Australia and New Zealand are 15th August (Assumption) and 25th December (Christmas). A Holy Day is simply a solemnity celebrated like a Sunday that is with obligation.

We welcome into our Church community Anton Bric, Angus Ollenbuttel, Arwen Vidal and Memphis Scott who are to be baptised this Sunday. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of Parents, Godparents, family and friends, we pray that these children will lead lives full of happiness, faith and love.

BAPTISM FORMATION MEETING, Monday 6th August at 7:00pm in Church. Please enter the church through the side entrance by the school office. The new procedure requires that registration papers and payment is completed at the parish office prior to attending the meeting.
HSI SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP
The 2018-19 session of the Holy Spirit Interactive (HSI) School of Discipleship will commence from 12th August on Sundays at 6:15pm at our Community Centre. This is a faith outreach program aimed to teach members more about our Catholic faith with three purposes – to learn it, live it and share it. The school has been successfully running for the last 2 consecutive years in our parish and members have testified to growing both spiritually and personally. All are welcome to join. There will be a brief presentation on the HSI School at masses this weekend with the ability to meet the organisers after the mass. Please note that Royden Dsouza will now provide Gospel reflections over some weekend masses until his ordination on September 8th, 2018. Please continue to support him and keep him in your prayers as he progresses towards his ordination.
CATHOLIC CARE
There will be an extra collection for Catholic Care at all masses next weekend. We thank you for your generosity in assisting this worthy cause.
MOVIE NIGHT, 18TH AUGUST, 7:00pm
Our next Movie Night is on August 18th at 7:00pm after the 6:00pm Mass in the parish hall. We will be screening Uncle Nino PG - a comedy movie for all ages showing the positive influence an elder uncle has on a slightly dysfunctional family. Sausage Sizzle, snacks and drinks commence 7:00pm. Gold Coin Donation. All funds generated are used for Young Adults Programs. Your support and attendance is very much appreciated. ROYDEN D’SOUZA’S DEACON ORDINATION
Royden D'Souza will be ordained as Deacon on Saturday, 8th September 2018 at the 10:00am Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. A bus service to the Cathedral has been organised by the parish at a cost of $10.00 per person (return trip). Anyone wishing to avail of this bus service must register their names along with the payment of $10.00 in the parish office ASAP as seats are limited. The bus will leave the church carpark at 8:30am sharp so please ensure you are seated in the bus by 8:15am.
