HOME MADE BISCUITS / CUPCAKES / SAUSAGE SIZZLE – 29/30 JULY
Next weekend, 29/30 July, the Ladies Auxiliary will hold another stall after all Masses (until sold out). This time we are selling home-made biscuits and cupcakes.
There will also be a sausage sizzle after all masses on the same weekend. We would be very grateful for any volunteers to help us on the day. We thank you for supporting both our stalls.
BIBLE STUDY

DAY OF PRAYER FOR CARE & RESPECT AT THE END OF LIFE – SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST
Archbishop Dennis Hart has asked us to respond to the imminent vote in our State Parliament on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide, with a day of prayer on Sunday 6th August. Our Parish will be dedicating our August Devotional Prayer to this cause with the 'Love to the End Prayer'. The Rosary will be dedicated for this intention at the morning Masses of Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August. At the First Friday evening Mass at 7:00pm on the 4th, the Eucharistic Adoration (Exposition) will also be dedicated to this important cause. Everyone is invited to pray the rosary at home for this intention specifically.
IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING MARRIAGE
Please contact parish office on 9749 4300 to make an appointment six months prior to the date of your wedding. You will need to bring the following to the meeting with the parish priest:
- Baptism certificate for Catholic party (recently dated from the parish of baptism - within four weeks at the time of making the appointment with our parish) - inform your parish of baptism that you require it for marriage purposes when you request the certificate.
- Confirmation certificate for Catholic party
- Birth certificate for non-Catholic party (or copy of passport)
- Dispensation – if mixed marriage / disparity of worship
- Permission to Marry certificate from Parish Priest
- Freedom to Marry certificate from Parish Priest for the groom
- If either party has been married before: Death certificate of deceased spouse or Decree of Nullity from the Church Tribunal
- Certificate of completion of Marriage Preparation Course (FOCCUS)
HSI SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP
Please note that the HSI School of Discipleship commences this Sunday July 23 at 6:15pm in the Community Centre. Details about the school are on the notice board in the church foyer. REGISTRATION OF PARISHIONERS
If you are not already a parishioner and would like to be registered as one at St. Peters, please complete a registration card available from the foyer and as above, drop it in the collection bags during Mass or in the Mass offering slot near the sacristy or at the parish office, or give it to Fr. Pius or Dcn. Charles after Mass. Please remember that being baptised in this parish or attending Mass regularly does not automatically make a person a parishioner. The person needs to be registered on the parish census program.
OSHC PROGRAM
St Peter Apostle’s OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) Program invites suitably qualified candidates with a Diploma in Childhood Services or equivalent, to register for ‘ON CALL’ casual work. WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER WEEKEND
Friday 28 July, 7pm to Sunday 30 July, 5pm
St Paul’s Missionary College, Nortons Lane, Wantirna South. You are invited to join other couples and invest in your most precious asset, your marriage. This residential weekend will explore the precious nature of marriage, allowing couples to share feelings, hopes and dreams with each other in ways that normal, daily living tends to inhibit. There is no group sharing. Couples and a priest present the weekend. It is based around Catholic values but couples of all faiths are welcome. Accommodation and all meals provided.
