FR. PIUS IS POSTED TO CORIO
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the Archbishop has posted our dear Fr. Pius to Corio as Parish Priest from 11 October. Our parish profile has been sent to the Archdiocese office and we will find out in a few days who will replace Fr. Pius as our parish priest.

CONFIRMATIONS - ST. PETER'S GRADE 6 CHILDREN
We congratulate the Grade 6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday 19 August. May their lives be forever enriched by the Gifts and Fruits bestowed upon them by the Holy Spirit.

Fr Pius and Deacon Charles wish to thank all Altar Servers for your wonderful work in our parish. You are all invited to Mass at 6pm on Saturday the 16th September and for a meal thereafter in the Hall.

BAPTISM FORMATION MEETING CHANGED
Please note that as we have the Novena to our Lady (Feast of Nativity) from 31st August to 8th September, the Baptism Formation meeting for next month will be held on the second Monday, 11 September at 7:00pm in the church.
THE JUBILEE CROSS
The Jubilee Cross that has been travelling to various parishes in Victoria since February this year, will be in our parish from 14 to 17 September. The Cross will be taken in procession on Heaths, Morris, Hogans and Derrimut road during its time in our parish – if anyone wishes to carry the cross, please contact Josephine at the parish office email hopperscrossing@cam.org.au or phone 9749 4300. Details of routes and events will be on the notice board next week. There will be a special Mass on Sunday 17 September at 10:30am followed by lunch. All are invited.
CARPENTERS SHOP
All men are invited to join us each Saturday from 7:20am until 8:30am in the Community Centre. Come for a hearty breakfast and lively discussion. Ring Les on 9749 2388 for more information.

EUTHANASIA & ASSISTED SUICIDE – IMPORTANT NOTICE
Thank you to parishioners who have brought their letters to the MPs, as requested. Kindly place these in the boxes outside in the church foyer. If you haven’t brought your letters today we will be collecting them again next weekend, so kindly bring them along so that we can send as many letters as possible supporting our vote against the proposed Bill for Euthanasia and Assisted Dying. Thank you all for your tremendous support.
HSI SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP
HSI School of Discipleship commenced on July 23 with thirty candidates attending. The first five weeks of the school are to experience what the school is all about. The School runs for two hours from 6.15 pm on Sunday and is aimed at learning our faith, living it and sharing the faith with others. Come and see how this school could change your life. NATIVITY OF OUR LADY NOVENA
The novena for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady will start on Thursday 31 August until the feast day on 8 September. Parishioners are invited to bring in their own statues/icons of the Blessed Virgin Mary to be placed on the table at the front of the Church each day of the Novena. The last day, 8 September, will conclude with a shared supper. Please bring a plate of finger food to share. Timetable giving timings for the Mass/Rosary/Novena are posted on the notice boards.
We are looking for people to lead the Rosary each day of the novena. If you would like to do so, please call the parish office on 9749 4300 as soon as possible. Thank you.
