THE JUBILEE CROSS
The Jubilee Cross which is travelling to various parishes in Victoria since February this year, will be in our parish from 14 to 17 September. The Cross will be taken in procession on Heaths, Morris, Hogans and Derrimut road during its time in our parish – if anyone wishes to carry the cross, please contact Josephine at the parish office email hopperscrossing@cam.org.au or phone 9749 4300. Details of routes and events are on the notice board. There will be a special Mass on Sunday 17 Sept at 10:30am followed by lunch. All are invited.
FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION - SEPTEMBER 2ND
Conducted by the Alliance of the Two Hearts. Starts with Holy Mass at 7:00pm, followed by an hour with the Blessed Sacrament, then Holy Rosary, Divine Office, Divine Mercy Novena and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome.

BIBLE STUDY

PARISH/SCHOOL MASS, 10:30AM, 27 AUGUST
We welcome staff and students from our parish school at the 10:30am Parish/School Mass this weekend. After Mass there will be a guided tour of the school and a sausage sizzle provided by the school. All are welcome.
BAPTISM FORMATION MEETING CHANGED
Please note that as we have the Novena to our Lady (Feast of Nativity) from 31st August to 8th September, the Baptism Formation meeting for next month will be held on the second Monday, 11 September at 7:00pm in the church.
This weekend is OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL DAY FOR MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES.
There will be a 3rd Collection on the weekend of 2/3 September for the PRIESTS RETIREMENT FOUNDATION. We thank you for your generosity.
HSI SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP

FOYER & CHAPEL REFURBISHMENT
As you may be aware, the Parish Pastoral Council along with Fr. Pius, has been reviewing plans to refurbish the entrance to the church to make it more accessible, bring the handicap toilet to approved standard, fix the leaking roof and provide external access to the chapel so that the church can be closed during non-mass hours restricting direct access to school area (in view of child safety) and preventing vandalism or theft in school / church. Plans are well advanced and approvals are being sought. A brief video on the project will be shown at all masses during this weekend with further more detailed drawings and costing notice displayed in the church foyer in the coming weeks.
NATIVITY OF OUR LADY NOVENA
The novena for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady will start on Thursday 31 August until the feast day on 8 September. Parishioners are invited to bring in their own statues/icons of the Blessed Virgin Mary to be placed on the table at the front of the Church each day of the Novena. The last day, 8 September, will conclude with a shared supper. Please bring a plate of finger food to share. Timetable giving timings for the Mass/Rosary/Novena are posted on the notice boards.
