WELCOME TO OUR NEWLY BAPTISED
We welcome into our Church community William Paproth who is to be baptised this weekend. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of Parents, Godparents, family and friends, we pray that this child will lead a life full of happiness, faith and love.

HSI SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP GRADUATION
Congratulations to the graduates of the HSI School of Discipleship. Graduation will be celebrated on Sunday 15 September at the 10:30am mass. Members from this year’s school will receive their certificates and the group will be available after mass to share their experiences and answer any queries. HSI School of Discipleship is a faith outreach program where members convene to learn more about our Catholic faith through prayer, reflection and fellowship. Please come and support our graduates who have attended the school over the last 12 months and please keep them in your prayers.
COMMUNION SERVICE
As Fr. Vincent will be away at a Clergy Conference from 16 to 19 September, please note that there will be a Communion Service only at 8:30am on Tuesday 17 September, Wednesday 18 September and Thursday, 19 September. The Wednesday evening Novena Mass at 7:00pm will still go ahead.
YOUTH RETREAT

BIBLE STUDY THIS WEEK 17 SEPTEMBER AT 7:00PM
Combined parishes of St James & St Peters Bible Study continues on Tuesday 17 September at 7:00pm in the Theatrette at St Peters, Hoppers Crossing. Come and experience an interactive study of the Gospel of Mark (Ch 13) with teachings, videos, discussions, etc. All are welcome. Enquiries message 0426 071 375.
SOCIAL SERVICES SUNDAY
As a lead in to Social Justice Sunday on 29 September 2019 in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, you are advised that Sunday 15 September 2019 is acknowledged as Social Services Sunday within the archdiocese. We are invited to acknowledge and pray for all the Catholic social services agencies across the archdiocese offering professional and volunteer services and support to those most needy and marginalised in our society. Our Heavenly Father gives us everything, including the chance to share in His eternal kingdom. Yet, like the Prodigal Son we are often lured away by the materialism of our society. Do we really want to turn our backs on all that God offers in exchange for a material wealth that has no lasting value?
