PARISH REFURBISHMENT
Dear Parishioners. Most major church refurbishment works as originally planned have now been completed. Final lane line markings will be undertaken next weekend. The car park refurbishment is expected to be undertaken in January 2019 during school holidays. Thank you to each one of you for your patience during this difficult time of refurbishment. LIFE, MARRIAGE & FAMILY SUNDAY – 14TH OCTOBER
Father will give a special blessing for pregnant mums and their unborn babies at the conclusion of all Masses this weekend.
To coincide with Life, Marriage & Family Sunday, copies of Living Icons: Mothers, Fathers and the Gospel of the Family - the 2018 Life, Marriage & Family Sunday publication are available in the Church foyer.
SAUSAGE SIZZLE & LADIES AUXILIARY SCONE STALL
This weekend, there will be a Sausage Sizzle after all Masses and St. Peters Ladies Aux. will be holding a Scone Stall. So, buy a sausage from Margaret and then purchase some scones for dessert please. The money made helps the Ladies Aux. provide Special Occasion Flowers etc. for our Church. Margaret Craigie is looking for people to help her with the sausage sizzle, so if you are able to give her a hand, please see Margaret before Mass.

READERS AND COMMUNION MINISTERS
Can we please request Readers and Communion Ministers to return their Christmas / New Year Availability forms in the next couple of weeks so we are able to start on the new roster. Thank you.
YOUTH MASS
Our next Youth Mass is on October 21st at 10:30am. Please put this date in your calendar so that we can have all the youth in our parish attend this mass and make it a truly youth celebration. If any youth of our parish want to join in the prayers or reading, please call Rhea on 0419 046 809. There will be a special blessing by Fr. Vincent over all youth that attend. There will also be morning tea after mass. Please bring a plate to share.
THE MULTICULTURAL MASS will be held on Sunday, 28th October 2018 at 10:30am. All communities are requested to participate in this annual celebration of our cultural diversity and the sharing of traditional food.
Please note that there will be a Rehearsal on Saturday, 27th October 2018 at 10:00am in the church. All those who are actively participating in the liturgical celebration, including flag bearers, are required to attend.

CHAIRS
The parish will be selling the old white plastic chairs which were used in the foyer for the Easter and Christmas Masses for $2 a chair. If you would like to purchase some, the sheds in the school yard will be open after all Masses next weekend, 20/21 October 18.
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
A 3rd collection will be taken up on the Weekend of 20/21 October for World Mission Sunday. We thank you for your support.

ST. JAMES FETE
You are invited to the St James community fete at 336 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing North on Saturday 20 October from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
