IMPORTANT LENTEN INFORMATION
- Ash Wednesday, 1st March. Day of fast and abstinence. Masses at 8:30am and 7:00pm, School Mass at 10:00am.
- Project Compassion commences 1st March until 15th April 2017. Project Compassion Envelopes and Boxes will be available in the church and hall. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
- Starting 3rd March, there will be Stations of the Cross each Friday at 7:00pm followed by Mass.
- The Divine Mercy Novena will start after the Good Friday service.
- Lenten Regulations from the Vicar General have been placed on the noticeboards.
ROSTERS for PIETY STORE and COMMUNION TO THE SICK for March, April and May 2017 are now available for collection from the Hall.
ROSTERS FOR LECTORS AND EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS for March, April and May can be collected from the Hall. The roster for Passion Sunday and Easter Ceremonies will be issued at a later date.
BIBLE STUDY
We are pleased to announce that Bible Study classes will again commence at St. Peter Apostle Mission Parish. They will be held every second and fourth Monday with the first session on Monday 13th March, 2017 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Community Centre. We will be starting with the Gospel of St. Luke and moving to The Acts. The class will be conducted by Royden D’Souza who is currently forming to be a Permanent Deacon. All are welcome. Bring your Bibles and come to experience an interactive study of the Bible. Queries call Royden on 0426 071 375.

THEOLOGY AT THE PUB: YOUTH, VOCATION AND THE FUTURE OF THE CHURCH

European Bier Cafe, Level 1, 120 Exhibition Street, Melbourne Australia’s youngest bishop will reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing the young Church in Australia. Bishop Richard Umbers was born in New Zealand in 1971, studied in Rome and Spain, and was ordained an Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Sydney in 2016. OUR LADY OF FATIMA – CENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS 3RD TO 5TH MARCH 2017
Our Parish is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima from Friday the 3rd of March through to Sunday the 5th of March to mark the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady in Portugal. This Statue is one of six which has been blessed by Pope Francis to travel the six continents. Please keep these dates free.
A petition box will be available over the three day visit for parishioners to place their petitions.
Parishioners are also invited to bring a single rose, preferably long stemmed on the last day (Sun 5th March) for the Rose Ceremony (placing roses at Our Lady’s feet). On all other days, you may bring flowers of your choice and place them in the vases provided.

SPANISH MASS
Please note that there will be no Spanish Mass on the first Sunday in March (5th March) because of our celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima.
DAY OF FASTING AND PRAYER FOR REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS
The Archdiocese has advised that there will be a day of Fasting and Prayer for Refugees and Asylum Seekers. Our Parish will hold it this weekend, 25/26 February.
CHILDREN SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM –SUNDAY SCHOOL

CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL: 50 YEARS COME CELEBRATE!
Mass St Patrick’s Cathedral 26 February 2017 at 2:00pm: Archbishop Denis Hart will celebrate Mass at 2:00pm and launch the Jubilee Cross on Sunday the 26th February to begin its journey over Victoria. To celebrate the great gift of the Holy Spirit the Cross will be carried to 40 parishes in 40 weeks to show God’s love for ALL people.
