A BLESSING FOR ALL FATHERS
God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old.
We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; May they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.
We pray for our own fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; May they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow.
We pray for men who are not fathers, but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice.
We remember fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers who are no longer with us, but who live forever in our memories and nourish us
with their love.

INVITING ALL ALTAR SERVERS
Fr Pius and Deacon Charles wish to thank all Altar Servers for your wonderful work in our parish. You are all invited to Mass at 6pm on Saturday the 16th September and for a meal thereafter in the Hall. RSVP call or email parish office: 7th September for catering purposes.
There will be a 3rd Collection this weekend for the PRIESTS RETIREMENT FOUNDATION. We thank you for your generosity.
ROSTERS FOR PIETY STORE ROSTERS, COMMUNION TO THE SICK, LECTORS & EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS for September, October and November are now available for collection in the Hall.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION MASS FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN will be held on Sunday 10th September at 10:30am. Please remember these children in your prayers. Parking may be a problem at this mass.
BAPTISM FORMATION MEETING CHANGED
Please note that as we have the Novena to our Lady (Feast of Nativity) from 31st August to 8th September, the Baptism Formation meeting for next month will be held on the second Monday, 11 September at 7:00pm in the church.
THE JUBILEE CROSS
The Jubilee Cross which is travelling to various parishes in Victoria since February this year, will be in our parish from 14 to 17 September. The Cross will be taken in procession on Heaths, Morris, Hogans and Derrimut road during its time in our parish. If anyone wishes to carry the cross, please contact Josephine at the parish office email hopperscrossing@cam.org.au or phone 9749 4300. Details of routes and events are on the notice board. Pamphlets with events in the parishes of St Andrews, St James and ours are in the foyer. There will be a special Mass on Sunday 17 Sept at 10:30am followed by lunch. All are invited.
MULTICULTURAL MASS PLANNING MEETING
The final planning meeting for the Multicultural Mass will be held on Saturday, 23rd September 2017 at 10:15am in the meeting room off the church hall. All are welcome to attend.

VENERATION OF THE STATUE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA – WEDNESDAY 13th SEPTEMBER
To mark the 100th anniversary of the 5th Fatima Apparition, the Statue of Our Lady will be available for veneration from 8:00am to 9:30am in the Church side Chapel and again in the evening in the Community Centre from 6:30pm to 7:00pm. All welcome.
GOOD SAMARITAN MINISTRY
The Good Samaritan Ministry assists parishioners in need during difficult times e.g. bereavement, unemployment and loneliness. Good Samaritan ministry offers a confidential service by volunteers drawn mainly from the parish community. The ministry provides an opportunity to serve others and put faith into action, and the chance to grow and learn in relating to others. If you would like a visit from any of our team or would like to join the ministry, please call Anita on 0411 772 320.
