DEACON ROYDEN D’SOUZA has been appointed Parish Deacon at St. James’ Church, Hoppers Crossing North. We pray that God will guide Royden and shower him with blessings in his new appointment.
PARISH REFURBISHMENT
Dear Parishioners. We are sad to advise that due to issues with a major subcontractor the car park refurbishment was unable to be completed and hence has been postponed to January 2019. However the original church refurbishment is expected to be completed over the next two weeks and car park will now be available. We do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our parishioners.

WELCOME TO OUR NEWLY BAPTISED
We welcome into our Church community Azaylia Lee Beath, Sarah Rei Campisano, Rylee Jean Cassidy, Lilly Florence Cassidy, Ashton James Morris and Savannah Taylor who are to be baptised this Sunday. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of their Parents, Godparents, family and friends, we pray that these children will lead lives full of happiness, faith and love.
YOUTH MASS
Our next Youth Mass is on October 21st at 10:30am. Please put this date in your calendar so that we can have all the youth in our parish attend this mass and make it a truly youth celebration. If any youth of our parish want to join in the prayers, choir or reading please call Rhea on 0419 046 809. There will be a special blessing by Fr. Vincent over all youth that attend. There will also be morning tea after mass. Please bring a plate to share.

HSI SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP
Please note that the HSI School of Discipleship next session will be on October 7th, 2018 at 6:15pm in the Community Centre.
MOVIE NIGHT
Our next movie night is on October 13th, 2018 at 7:30pm, after the 6:00pm Mass. We will be screening a Christian movie for all the family - THE CASE FOR CHRIST PG a true story of a conversion of an atheist who tries to prove the non-existence of Christ after his wife becomes a Christian. Snacks and drinks at 7:00pm. Gold Coin Donation.
BIBLE STUDY on Monday, 8th October at 7:00pm in the Theatrette. All are welcome to this interactive study of the Bible.
THE MULTICULTURAL MASS will be held on Sunday, 28th October 2018 at 10:30am. All communities are requested to participate in this annual celebration of our cultural diversity and the sharing of traditional food.
Please note that there will be a Rehearsal on Saturday, 27th October 2018 at 10:00am in the church. All those who are actively participating in the liturgical celebration, including flag bearers, are required to attend.
LIFE, MARRIAGE & FAMILY SUNDAY – 14TH OCTOBER
Father will give a special blessing for pregnant mums and their unborn babies at the conclusion of all Masses on the weekend of 13/14 October.
To coincide with Life, Marriage & Family Sunday, copies of Living Icons: Mothers, Fathers and the Gospel of the Family - the 2018 Life, Marriage & Family Sunday publication are available in the Church foyer.
MARCH FOR THE BABIES is on Saturday October 13 at 1:00 pm at Treasury Gardens. This is a great chance to join others and express your support for the sanctity of life. Thousands of our unborn brothers and sisters are killed each year in Australia. One of our guest speakers is Cardinal Raymond Burke, former Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, at Vatican court.

SAUSAGE SIZZLE & LADIES AUXILIARY SCONE STALL
On the weekend of 29th and 30th September, there will be a Sausage Sizzle after all Masses and St. Peters Ladies Aux. will be holding a Scone Stall. So, buy a sausage from Margaret and then purchase some scones for dessert please. The money made helps the Ladies Aux. provide Special Occasion Flowers etc. for our Church. Margaret Craigie is looking for people to help her with the sausage sizzle, so if you are able to give her a hand, please see Margaret before Mass.
