We also request that every family attending brings a plate of traditional food to share. It is also an opportunity to dress in your national dress. Thank you.

REMINDER TO READERS AND EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF COMMUNION
If you have not returned your Availability Form for Christmas/New Year would you please return your reply no later than October 30th. We need this form to prepare the next roster. Can you either drop off the form at the Sacristy or email your responses to the parish office at HoppersCrossing@cam.org.au or stpeters@westnet.com.au. Thank you for your help.
CHILD SAFE STANDARDS
We are in the process of implementing the upcoming Child Safe Standards required by the Victorian Government to be in place by 1 January 2017. In the coming months we will be working with our parish groups and leadership teams to build on the child safety measures we already have in place in our community, to understand that the emphasis of these new legislative requirements is to effect further cultural change, helping with change in attitudes towards, and increase the awareness of, society’s obligations to the safety of our children. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children when they bring them to church. In this context we wish to remind parents of young children to ensure that they are accompanied by one of the parents or adult siblings when they use the toilets in the Church Hall. If you have any concerns – please report them to Fr. Pius or Dcn. Charles. Thank you for your support in keeping our children safe.
POPE’S INTENTIONS FOR OCTOBER
Universal: That journalists, in carrying out their work, may always be motivated by respect for truth and a strong sense of ethics.
Evangelization: That World Mission Day may renew within all Christian communities the joy of the Gospel and the responsibility to announce it.
